TipTap Tables – elemental furniture

October 15, 2025

DesignTipTap Tables’ design is born from the intention of producing a clear and elemental furniture design, of simple execution, easy to transport and assemble, but also capable of communicating its constructive process in an explicit and playful way, with visually stimulating graphic details.

As a result of a variety of circumstances found in several projects over the years, tables were designed for 5 particular situations.

The T1 table is a small table of flexible use, suitable for study, meals or other purposes, built out of marine plywood and powder coated water-resistant MDF.

The dark powder coat, opposite the pine wood veneer, allows for a contrast that reveals the construction of the table, giving it an unexpected visual interest.

The T2 table takes more generous dimensions, for office or dining room uses, featuring a solid oak wood top, with solid chestnut wood legs.

The combination of these two woods clarifies the role of each element in the construction of the table.

In an office scenario, this fitting between legs and top also assumes the role of a cableport.

The solid wood will evolve with time and use, enriching the table with its history.

The CT1 table is a low coffee table, designed to accompany a set of sofas or armchairs, uniting solid chestnut wood with Estremoz marble.

The warmth of the dark wood appears graphically embedded in the cold and ethereal white marble, creating a light and inviting piece.

The CT2 table is a coffee table.

Designed as a focal point, it is inspired by jewellery and the relationship between a ring stone and its bezel.

Its structure is built with lacquered water-resistant MDF, supporting an Estremoz marble top.

The dark lacquered structure is remitted to the background, only lightly touching the stone that is the focus of the piece.

The LT1 table is a long table, sporting height variants of 75 cm and 90 cm, which can assume counter or dining table functions, among others, combining marine plywood elements with lacquered water-resistant MDF panels.

With an unusual dimension and unexpected overhangs, it intends to produce a table with the minimum barriers for usage and the maximum visual interest, simultaneously referencing the long, longitudinal tables from our past.
