From skyline icon to sustainability model: Cactus Towers win BIG

November 24, 2025

In a striking addition to Copenhagen’s skyline, the Cactus Towers have been named Europe’s Best High-Rise Buildings by an international jury at the prestigious CTBUH Conference in London.

Rising 22 and 20 stories in Vesterbro, the towers host 495 micro-apartments alongside generous communal spaces, embracing the “sleep in your apartment, live in your building” concept.

Each level rotates slightly, creating unique views, while sculptural balconies lend the towers their distinctive, organic form.

A lush roof garden with 8,600 plants and 180 trees crowns the project, complemented by an elevated sky park that links to the new Postgrunden financial district, offering a vibrant green corridor above the city.

Achieving DGNB Silver sustainability certification, the Cactus Towers redefine urban living, blending privacy, community, and ecological ambition in one of Europe’s most dynamic capitals.
